New to crypto? Cryptocurrency Basics is a 9 minute video that serves as a great intro to the world of crypto. It’s part of my Crypto and Web3 for Absolute Beginners course.
Life contains 3 C’s: Choices, Chances and Changes. If you don’t make a choice to take a chance your life will never change. OK: add another C for cheesy… but guess what? Have you taken a chance on crypto yet? If not: nothing changes… unless something changes and only you can make that choice.

Guide to Bitcoin time horizons
The WSJ had a great breakout section on crypto today. Lots of interesting info put this pull quote stuck out to me:
If you’re going to invest in Bitcoin, a short time horizon is four years, a middle time horizon is 10 years, and the right time horizon is forever.
This was from Bill Barhydt, CEO of Abra, a crypto lending and trading company.
Some people get into crypto hoping for overnight returns (wrong reason). Some peopel get into crypto for the “ethics” or the way of life or the decentralization (or “decentralization” depending on the project).
The reason I’m interested in Bitcoin isn’t for potential returns tomorrow or next year: it’s for “the golden years.”

Doing the hard things pays off
Saw an insta post today that grabbed my attention. It said:
Building muscle is hard so most are physically weak.
Starting a business is hard so most work jobs they hate.
Saving money is hard so most are always broke.
Being hungry is hard so most are overweight.
Reading books is hard so most are glued to screens.
DO THE HARD THINGS.
I always tell people that you need to do the hard things few are willing to in order to enjoy the things that few people will get to.
Basically: sticking with almost everything/anything is hard… but it pays off. How does this apply to crypto? Stick with your dollar cost averaging. Month in and month out. It’s hard. That money could go elsewhere… be used for something more fun or immediate.
The hard things pay off.
