New to crypto? Cryptocurrency Basics is a 9 minute video that serves as a great intro to the world of crypto. It’s part of our Crypto and Web3 for Absolute Beginners course.
Naval tweeted that crypto is the smartest people in the world exiting into their own economy. Shaan and Ben took it a bit further calling crypto exit technology: “Don’t like inflation? Exit to Bitcoin, with a fixed supply.” Interesting.

Are Coinbase NFTs about to pump ETH?
It’s no secret that I’m bullish on ETH. It’s useful. Soon, it will be useful to even more people as pointed out by @CroissantEth:
Coinbase NFT has 3,701,544 users signed up on their waitlist.
This number will nearly 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘦 the amount of wallets interacting with non-fungible tokens.
NFTs are going to take ETH to a bull market whether people like it or not.
Putting time on-chain (yes… time!)
Newt: Aika popped onto my radar today. They’ve developed a way to mint and sell time as NFTs on Polygon (to immutably record events and work on the blockchain). From the announcement post:
Aika brings in a wealth of new options, providing you the ability to take control of your time and how you monetize it.
For guilds, service DAOs, and other crypto-native organizations, Aika can be an easy way to standardize your services, e.g., receive X services for Y amount of hours for Z remuneration. Source business from a global market and easily record and track that completed business.
It will be fascinating to see how useful this will/won’t be.
Crypto taxes are… not fun
I’ve been making use of ZenLedger today to sort out my crypto taxes this year and… it’s not as great as I had hoped. Maybe I should have tried Koinly? Or stuck with CoinTracker?
In any case… this tweet made me laugh:
I think as a crypto newcomer it’s easy to just be fast and loose with transactions. I know I regret my early crypto days (oh, that’s going up let me trade for that instead… on repeat). DCA you noobs, don’t mess with trades and keep good notes lol. Even the “best” tax software is imperfect.
